Half a decade of highlights!
We can’t quite believe it, but Rosalique is 5 years old already! In this blog, we’re looking back on five incredible years, in which we’ve taken our small family-run business international, grown our wonderful team, and most importantly: helped so many people feel more confident in their own skin!
Rosalique was launched in 2018 in collaboration with Swiss and French dermo-cosmetic scientists. Combining the power of naturally active ingredients with the latest trends and technologies in the beauty industry, Rosalique aims to be the fastest, safest and most effective solution for facial redness. However, we soon realised that Rosalique was not just for redness and rosacea, and our Miracle Formula became a firm favourite with those with eczema, acne, psoriasis and sensitive skin – as well as those just looking for a quick, natural makeup.
Although we launched in the UK, it didn’t take long for Rosalique to take off internationally. Rosalique quickly became a hit in Denmark and the Netherlands and is currently available in over 20 countries! We also expanded within the UK, making Rosalique more accessible than ever: it’s now available in all 9 Fenwick stores as well as lots of independent health stores, beauty salons and department stores. Finally, as of 2022, you can shop Rosalique in the air – we are stocked in the TUI inflight magazine, available on all flights in and out of the UK and Germany.
Soon after our launch, Rosalique received the seal of approval from the Good Housekeeping Institute – scoring 77/100. The lab tests showed an immediate reduction in visibility of redness, plus the redness had calmed down after having used Rosalique on a daily basis for the entire period of 8 weeks. Editor in Chief Abby Hubbart even said: “I decided to start using the product myself as I have a highly coloured, red-toned complexion. I now have a much more even skin tone and my complexion looks smoother and more youthful. I am genuinely a complete convert and this would be my desert island beauty product of choice.”
But it wasn’t just the Good Housekeeping Institute that caught wind of the power of Rosalique. Over the years, we’ve been mentioned by countless publications, journalists and celebrity makeup artists. We popped up in Nadine Baggott’s Top 30 skincare products for your face, Val Garland mentioned that Rosalique was a staple in her kit and ELLE magazine hailed us as one of the top colour correctors for masking redness and dark circles. Rosalique has also gained lots of attention internationally with Harper’s Bazaar Netherlands calling it a “little green miracle” and appearing in &C (a huge lifestyle magazine in the Netherlands), GQ Spain and many more. As a cherry on the cake, we were completely overwhelmed and incredibly honoured to see Caroline Hirons pull out a tube of Rosalique live on This Morning, naming us as one of the best facial SPFs.
Another 2021 highlight is that we became official partners with Look Good Feel Better - an incredible charity that helps boost the physical and emotional wellbeing of people living with cancer. We have been donating a % of our sales to Look Good Feel Better ever since and have at this point raised over £15,000 pounds for a cause that is very dear to ours, and so many, hearts.
Just last April, one of our dreams came true as we got to work with the amazing Rose Gallagher – makeup artist, writer and rosacea specialist. Rose is considered the UK's biggest rosacea influencer with over 100K followers across her social channels, and we got to work with her on raising awareness for rosacea awareness month and introducing her super engaged audience to Rosalique through an exclusive sample campaign!
As a final note, we just want to say a massive thank you for your support and enthusiasm for Rosalique over the past five years. Being able to make a difference in people’s lives on a daily basis is the best feeling, and we love seeing our customers embrace their natural beauty and regain their confidence.
